The Historic Summit Inn has a unique charm due to its century-old architecture and stunning views, but our stay was marred by cleanliness issues in our room and dated amenities. While the staff was accommodating and the dining room served good meals, the experience overall left something to be desired, especially considering the price.

Rooms
5.0
The room we stayed in felt dated, and we unfortunately encountered cleanliness problems, including dust and a musty odor that impacted our stay. There was also an absence of basic amenities like a waste basket.
Service
7.0
The staff was welcoming and did respond when issues were raised, though the lack of ADA compliance information was a bit off-putting. They did offer us a discount for our troubles which was appreciated.
Location
8.0
The location is quite beautiful with sweeping views of the valley, and it's conveniently situated for visiting nearby attractions like Fallingwater. However, access via narrow staircases can be challenging.
Dining
6.0
We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the dining room, though the coffee certainly left something to be desired. The quality of food was reasonably good, but it did not meet expectations for a hotel at this price point.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel retains many of its historical elements, but the lack of elevators and air conditioning in the hallways was quite inconvenient. Some facilities, like the outdoor areas, were nice but could use improvement.

My stay at the Historic Summit Inn had its ups and downs. The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, especially during sunset, which made for some unforgettable moments. However, I can't overlook the musty smell in the room and the discomfort from the old furnishings, which impacted our overall experience. Service was adequate, and while there were some charming aspects to the place, basic cleanliness and air quality are vital to a good stay.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms had a charming historic style but were plagued by musty odors and overall cleanliness issues. Modern bathrooms are a plus, but the lack of proper maintenance was disappointing.
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly, but their response to maintenance complaints felt dismissive, which didn't leave us feeling supported during our stay.
Location
9.0
The location is marvelous, providing breathtaking views over the valley, and it's a great base for visiting nearby attractions like Fallingwater.
Dining
7.0
We didn't partake in the dining but noticed the restaurant had a busy atmosphere. Previous guests seemed to enjoy the meals, noting a good quality.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities like the outdoor porch and lobby were comfortable and inviting, but other areas needed attention to maintain the historic charm.

I had a mixed experience at the Summit Inn. The views are truly breathtaking, especially during sunset, and the historic charm adds a unique touch. However, I was quite disappointed with the service at the dining location, which felt rushed and inattentive during my visit. The accommodations were decent, but I definitely expected more comfort for the price. While it offers a lovely setting, I wouldn't recommend it based on my overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were clean but quite small, and the bed was harder than expected. It was tough maneuvering with all the stairs to reach them.
Service
5.0
The service in the restaurant was lacking; we waited a long time without even receiving water, which was frustrating.
Location
9.0
The location overlooks a stunning valley view and is perfect for visiting nearby attractions like Fallingwater.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing; despite the beautiful view, the service was inattentive and frustrating.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities looked nice, but the outdoor pool closes too early for guests getting in after check-in.
